    Feb. 14---Matthew Minnich: CRM at the westside Barnes & Noble will speak at the Doris Van Doren Library at 2 o'clock. Visitors and prospective members are encouraged to attend. He will address store procedures concerning book signings and book purchases

June 13 - Christine Susany, author, educator and past president of EPWL, will present the program, Ekphrasic Writing: Making the Connection Between Artist and Author.
July 2009
July 11 - Ken Kenyon's topic for the meeting is "Journaling, Taking Notes Along the Way."
August 2009
August 8 - Johnny Payne, Chair of the Department of Creative Writing at UTEP, will be our speaker. The program will be, keeping the  engine warm. Dr. Payne received his doctorate in Comparative Literature from Stanford University and his MFA from the  Univeristy of Alabama.

Sept. 12--Final day to turn in entries for contest..
October 2009
October 10--Elsie Hayden, award winning novelist, treasurer of EPWL, and lecturer, will present Eight Deadly Writing Sins.
Dec.  12--Attention all members! The annual award luncheon of the El Paso Writers' League will be held Saturday, December 12th from 12:00 Noon until 4:00PM. The price $20.00 per person includes gratuity. Members may RSVP by email ( ACSandersIII@sbcglobal.net )to A.C. Sanders or you may also call in reservations to A.C. Sanders. If by mail, please include a check for the number of reservations you wish to make, or bring that check to the November meeting of the League.

We also need to know the choices of menu you wish to make from the list below.
Caesar Salad with one of the following:

Chicken Teriyaki with rice and vegetables

OR Roasted Tenderloin with Bearnaise Sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables

OR Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout with Linguine Pasta and vegetables

Tiramisu Cake Tea/Coffee/Water
